The cultural influence is his native Greece: the delicate and feminine style embodies the spirit of Demeter, Olympian goddess of fertility. The first letter of her name is reflected in the shape, Delta. The simple, fine, elegance of these pieces, with their strong, sharp corners, reflect Philippos’ sentiments towards femininity’s powerful unifying of gentleness and strength.
